CHILDREN WANT PEACE!

CHILDREN WANT PEACE!

Children want Peace!

Today these words acquire an additional meaning - they become a call for unity, support, and help.

The childhood of Ukrainian children was turned upside down by the war.

According to preliminary data from official state statistics, more than 567 children suffered in Ukraine because of Russia's full-scale armed aggression: 205 children were killed, more than 362 children were injured. And these numbers are not final.

Since February 24, 2022, every second child in Ukraine has been forced to change their place of residence. Many families had to move under shelling and live in bomb shelters.

"Children Want Peace" is a social project for the rehabilitation and recreation of more than 100 Ukrainian children aged 10-17 during the summer of 2022 in Georgia.

The project is implemented by the Ukrainian charitable foundation "For my Ukraine" together with the Georgian charitable ford "Alilo 2015".

The first group of 25 children and 5 mentors, psychologists accompanying them, has been formed, who are already on June 3, 2022, going to rest and rehabilitation in Georgia for 14 days.

Children will live in a comfortable boarding house on the seacoast.

Together with psychologists, we have developed a recreational and rehabilitation program, considering the condition of post-traumatic stress disorder, which children may have. Since the children who go on vacation were evacuated from areas where active hostilities were fought.

We invite everyone who cares to join the project and support this initiative. Funds raised by the «For My Ukraine» Foundation will be used to cover travel expenses and will provide recreation for more Ukrainian children affected by the war.
